~Leslie Blessed Us From the Moment She Was Born~
July 7th, 1967

~ISN'T SHE LOVELY..... ISN'T SHE BEAUTIFUL.~Look at her big, bright eyes. So inquisitive right from the very beginning. She was born, ready to turn anything she touched, from ordinary into something 'Extraordinary'. How? Simple. She had a Beautiful Mind, Heart and Soul. Leslie Gave Everything She Had, Cared & Loved So Deeply, Until the Very End.

~You've touched Countless Lives in so Many Beautiful Ways~She Was Always A Loving and Giving Sister; Daughter; Life- Partner; Jayde's Lessie; Ralphie & Dudley's Mommy; Cherished Lyme Patient Advocate; Aunt; Niece; Cousin; & Friend.
Below Are Just a "Few" of the Many Beautiful Tributes Written in Memory of Leslie.
Please Express How Leslie Touched Your Life and What She Meant to You.
Here is an excerpt from the beautiful tribute that
Andy Abrahams Wilson wrote in memory of Leslie.
Andy is the Producer/Director of the Powerful Lyme Disease Documentary,"Under Our Skin".
The Lyme community has lost an important hero and friend–and so did I. Leslie Wermers, 41, died from heart failure in her sleep on November 2nd. It’s hard to imagine Leslie’s heart giving out, because for anyone who knew her she was all heart. A dear friend to so many and a tireless worker on behalf of the Minnesota and national Lyme communities, Leslie gave everything she had to help others who were sick. And everything she had was an abundant reserve of love and support–even as her own health waned.

Touching & beautiful excerpts in Leslie's Honor & Memory from Bryan Rosner, Founder of
'Biomed Publishing Group'.
Here are my personal thoughts on Leslie’s passing: This loss is so tragic, it has been keeping me up at night. I met Leslie just days before her death at the 2008 ILADS conference. Her spirit touched me even then.....
May the Lord Jesus Christ bless and keep you Leslie and we will never forget your kindness, passion and spirit which reached across thousands of miles as if it were next door.

'Requiem of a Lyme Sufferer and Selfless Patient Advocate'
Thank You Bill Moser for Your Beautiful Tribute.
For those of you who don’t know Lymefighters, they perform Lyme Patient advocacy, and are dedicated to promoting awareness in every way they can. Having no time for the negativity and politics sometimes associated with major advocacy sites and their forums, they take a direct, hands-on approach to just help Lyme patients, and getting awareness out to the public and medical professionals. Their site has no forum, and they aren’t affiliated with any major advocacy groups. They simply find persons who are in the most desperate situations and help them through many forms of assistance...
-Thank you Shannon G. for posting this on your website.

A heartfelt tribute for Leslie - Excerpts from 'In Your Neighborhood'.
So, the next time a doctor tells you that Lyme is, "Hard to get, easy to treat, cannot get chronic, and cannot kill you," you look them straight in the eye and give them her name, Leslie Rae Wermers. Tell them to get educated.
Rest in peace and be without pain, my beautiful friend, we'll continue the fight for you. I promise.
-Blessings Lorraine & Lianne for your touching tribute to Leslie.
